Ban Loong Hotel @ Ipoh Old Town
By Emily2u | Part of Mansion Builders Group of Companies
Founder: Mr Loh Yoon Khoon, passionate about maintaining the ancestral home of the Loh Family who migrated to Malaya 126 years ago.

During a recent visit to Penang, I stayed at heritage boutique hotels and wondered if Ipoh had something similar. Ban Loong Hotel, a 102-year-old building (built 1915), now offers heritage boutique accommodation with character.
The hotel has four going on five generations of Loh Family history. In 2015, the family decided to convert the building in the heart of Ipoh Old Town into a boutique hotel to meet the demand for accommodations in the area.

Restoration took about two years, with significant investment of time, money, and careful planning.
