MAPEX 2016 – Perak’s Largest Property Expo
The MAPEX 16 Press Conference was held on 15 June 2016, organised by Ir. Loh Ban Ho, Chairman of REHDA Perak and Managing Director of Mansion Builders Sdn Bhd. The event introduced the Malaysia Property Exhibition (MAPEX) 2016, scheduled from 29–31 July 2016 at Ipoh Parade, showcasing over 20,000 property units worth RM5 billion across 49 booths.
As the state’s largest property fair, MAPEX 2016 brought together developers from Perak, Selangor, Penang, and Cameron Highlands, providing housebuyers with a convenient platform to compare prices, explore options, and invest in residential and commercial properties. Attendees could choose from semi-detached homes, single-storey, and double-storey houses, while first-time buyers had the opportunity to learn about the MyDeposit First House Deposit Financing Scheme, available for households earning between RM3,000 and RM10,000.
During the press conference, Ir. Loh Ban Ho highlighted that last year’s fair featured 45 booths with RM4.4 billion worth of properties, generating RM20 million in sales transactions. He also noted that 70% of the booths had already been booked within two weeks of opening, with booth rental prices significantly lower than MAPEX Kuala Lumpur, ranging from RM3,000–RM4,000.
